This is a four day (9am-12:30pm) holiday club which aims to share the good news about Jesus to children aged 5-10. Superhero Mania unpacks the truth that Jesus, who is innocent, steps in and takes the punishment for us, who are guilty.
Day 1
Big Idea: There is only one true God, so trust and follow only him.
Passage: 1 Kings 17:1, 18:18-46
Day 2
Big Idea: We need a Saviour who lives forever to save us completely.
Passages: Judges 2:10-23, Hebrews 7:25
Day 3
Big Idea: Trust in God’s King, and you’ll be saved for sure.
Passage: 1 Samuel 17
Day 4
Big Idea: The innocent died instead of the guilty. Jesus died in our place to set us free.
Passage: Matthew 27:11-26
What's included in each Kidswise Holiday Club?
Mania Time: themed welcome activities
Session Time: daily drama, Bible story (full scripts), song suggestions, memory verse
Small Group Time: leader's guide, activity booklet and resources for each group
Activity Time: craft, cooking, games, free play, music & movement
Survivor: themed team challenges for ages 9-10
Graphics: advertising, leader's t-shirts, decoration ideas, follow-up letter, postcards
The daily drama provides a segue into the gospel truth being taught each day of Club. A link to a professional recording of each day's drama is included. The cost of producing these has not been factored into the price of any Kidswise Holiday Club. The drama production costs have been generously covered by MBM Rooty Hill Anglican Church as a gift to churches who would otherwise be unable to present these dramas live. The recordings can be used to prepare a group of actors to present the dramas live. Alternatively, the professional recordings can simply be shown at your Club.
A template of the gospel tract used in each Club is also included. These can be produced by your team or purchased via the Kidswise website.
There are six Clubs in all. It is recommended that Clubs be done in the order they appear below as there is one reference in each drama to the previous year's theme. This, however, is only a minor consideration.
