This is a four day (9am-12:30pm) holiday club which aims to share the good news about Jesus to children aged 5-10.
Day 1
Big Idea: Jesus is God’s light who shows us that our sin has trapped us. Jesus is God’s light who shows us God.
Passage: John 8-9
Day 2
Big Idea: Jesus does what only God can do. He is the Son of God.
Passages: John 2:1-11, 4:43-54, 5:1-15, 6:1-15, 6:16-24, 9:1-12, 11:1-44, 20:31
Day 3
Big Idea: Jesus is God’s way to God. There is no other way.
Passage: John 14:1-11
Day 4
Big Idea: Jesus came to give us life with God that goes on forever.
Passage: John 11:1-44
The daily drama provides a segue into the gospel truth being taught each day of Club. This is especially important for children who come with little or no Bible knowledge. When it comes to the Small Group Time, they’re able to contribute alongside children with good Bible knowledge.
A link to a professional recording of each day’s drama is available free for every church that purchases the Club program. The recordings of the daily dramas can be used to prepare a group of actors to present the dramas live. Alternatively, the professional recordings can simply be shown on Club.
A template of the gospel tract used in each Club is also included. These can be produced by your team or purchased via the Kidswise website.
Each holiday club pack comes complete with advertising graphics, leaders t-shirt graphics, welcome activities (Mania Time), drama and Bible story scripts, songs and a memory verse, small group time resources (leader's guides plus booklets for each age group), detailed outlines for each activity: craft, cooking, free play & photo booth, music & movement and games. Also included is a program for children aged 9-10 years called Survivor as well as follow-up letters and postcard graphics.
There are seven Clubs in all. It is recommended that Clubs be done in the order they appear below as there is one reference in each drama about the previous year's theme. This, however, is only a minor consideration.
