Passages: Mark, Luke
Big Idea: Jesus is God’s Son. Only he can save us.
Ten lessons for 1 and 2 year olds exploring who Jesus is and why he came to earth.
Jesus was born into the world he had made (John 1:1-4). So it’s not surprising he had absolute power and authority over all of creation.
Jesus spoke and the wind and waves obeyed. When Jesus fed a hungry crowd everyone went home full. Their hunger was fully satisfied. In fact it was impossible for them to eat even one more mouthful.
Bent bodies stood straight, lame legs walked, blind eyes saw, deaf ears heard and mute tongue talked. Everybody that Jesus touched was fully restored in an instant. Jesus came to remove the curse of sin. His healing ministry not only revealed that he is God but that he came to remove sin and it’s curse once and for all.
God’s Son was born into the world he’d made, so that he could save the world he’d made. Angels announced his arrival and prepared both Mary, Joseph and the shepherds for his coming. They announced good news for all people. God’s Son has come to save his people from their sins.
This unit comes complete with a picture book and ten lessons. The ten lessons are used twice over a two year period. There are two resource files full of crafts and stories that can be used to create a scrapbook for each child, one for each year. These scrapbooks, illustrated by the children, will become a lasting reminder for each child of what they have learnt.
Includes crafts for Christmas.
