This program includes one week focused on Mother's Day.

Kidswise Playtimes are designed as an outreach program to families in the local community with children under the age of five (not yet at school). They are similar in style to a Playgroup, whereby both parent and child come along to play and socialise together.

Kidswise Playtimes seek to be outsider friendly (i.e. non-threatening to non-Church families). They aim to build relationships in a relaxed environment.

Each program is thematically based and a story that fits into this theme is either read or told each week. A number of the stories are Bible stories. It is hoped these Bible stories will spark conversations between the Playtime Team and the non-Church families who attend.

The suggested picture books are not included in the cost of this unit. To purchase the picture books, use both the title and author outlined in the program, and order online. Local libraries are likely to stock these quality books. Your church may be able to borrow these books instead of purchasing them. Alternatively, you could substitute other picture books that fit both the term’s theme and weekly crafts.
